Question about BBS CH offset.

I've been looking at many pics of BBS CHs on the forums and I know staggered is the way to go for my 330Ci, but I want to make sure to get that recessed rear wheels look.
Like this, awesome setup Tam:

I know e92 run M3 setups with 19x10 in the rear so they look much much better, but I want that look with 19x9.5s.

So will 19x8.5 +35 and 19x9.5 +40 do it? Kinda too late to ask now cuz they're on the way, but just curious.

I like BMWPower06 setup and he thinks he's running 35,40 but not sure.
Check his sig here.

Thanks in advance.

If youre dropped, you'll rub. I think with 245s and a very thorough roll might not rub, but basically any other tire combo, you'll rub in the rear at some point. I had them....and sold them because of that

That is with the 9.5 rears.

im rolled and rub only with a full load in the car, or on hard turns. u wont get that same deep dish that u get on the Ms or E90s, but u do get a slight dish. None the less i love the look of the CHs

Well looking at your sig, your car seems to have the same setup that i'm hoping for so let see whem mine get here. That and spring time.

Yeah second to the LMs, they're awesome looking.
They give the car that racecar look!

Recessed look?

Do you mean sunken?

Or do you mean concave in?

Lower offset = more concavity, but it'll stick out more as well.

Wider wheels while keeping the same offset will also increase concavity. But wider wheels will also decrease rim-shock clearance, and also stick out more.

Hmmm... concave look.

Yeah I figure the setup of 35, 40 should be safe yet give me the look im going for.

You can't fit 19x10 on a non-M safely w/o widebody right?

depends on offset.

i'm tempted to say you can definitely fit it with a lot of rolling and some camber.

They were the non-m offset (+40). Even with the help of the ci, you'll still rub...which is gay, trust me. People are like "wtf was that"....explaining that your rims are basically the WRONG offset isnt the most fun thing to do constantly.

It doesnt sound like that, its more like a quick buzzing, or screech, because it only happens for a brief moment. If you can live with that, as well as all the paint being rubbed off your inner fenders, go for it. I just couldnt stand the car "not being right".

i prefer having them rub on full load, why you ask? i dont have to drive to clubs or anywhere for that matter anymore. Friends dont even ask me to drive when i have my rims on

Yeah I know the rubbing sound. I had wheels on my EVO that were off a Skyline GTR and the thing looked like a monster truck. Every hard turn, Burrrrrr...

hmmm... yeah, i always roll up to the clubs with a few gurls, but we're all asian and they weigh next to nothing so I'll just deal with it.

Since I'm running Hankooks, maybe I'll camber them a lil and see how the tire wear is. If its horrible, I'll just get new tires and return the camber.

The size you should be running is 255/30/19. The fenders should be rolled and the liner inside your rear bumper should be cut a little. With all of these things you should not rub at all. I have 5 people in my car, with sub box in the trunk, with luggage, and I never rub at all.
I have the same 40mm offset also.
