Questions on system

Ok this summer I am planning on purchasing two JL w3 12's in a bandpass and sticking it in my trunk and I just have a couple questions on certain issues on it:

1 - If i had this system installed would it be able to work with the stock Bmw Business Cd deck that came with the car??

2 - If i indeed had to install a new deck to replace it, do you think it would touch any warranty issues??

It will work with the stock cd player. My girl has that set up. You just have to get the adapter to plug into one of the speaker output wires. The problem with that is that when you do this you dont' get as clean of a signal. More like sometimes it is not that loud. I would say definietly get the aftermarket stereo. That is what I did and my system sounds 10x better than hers. It doesn't touch on any warranty issues as long as you are slick about it. Have BMW do it just do it yourself and take it to a dealership and tell them that another dealer did it. They will never know the difference.

You can keep your stock deck, I would recommend doing an EQ though... You have to use line out adapters to use the factory radio to run amps. they basically give the stock radio RCA outputs. When you do that, you don't get a lot of voltage going through the RCA's. By adding an EQ you get around 4-6 volts. I personally like JL's in a sealed enclosure, unless you have a badass custom installer....It wont mess up any warranty...

hey wut kind of aftermarket decks do you guys have?? the lcd??

I have a kenwood currently...I'm gonna swap for an alpine cda 7894 soon.

It has dual inputs for cd and md both in a single din deck. I am going to get that new alpine cda-7998. I want a screen but I just figured naaaah.
