Xenon upgrade questions...

I have an 06 325Cic with stock halogens. I have been reading here and other sites to gather info regarding an upgrade to Xenons. I have several options, each with their pluses and minuses.
1. Buy full OEM headlight kit new... probably wint up over $2k when you include the reflash to recognize them.
2. Buy used OEM on ebay... maybe get a decent set for $600 - $700. Then pay for reflash.
3. Get HID Upgrade Kit.

The upgrade kit will come with H7 bulbs that will go into my existing projector housings. This has it's own set of issues.
1. Not sure how much different these housings are to the actual Xenon projectors.
2. I think I would need to get the "relay" kit so that I can keep my flash to pass, High Beams and DRL's all functional.
3. I have not seen anyone with an '05 or '06 write about doing this upgrade. So I am concerned with any other issues that may come out of this.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'd go with the H7 Upgrade kit - we have it on our site for $260... and since you already have projectors... it shouldn't be too difficult. You have to drill a hole in your sockets to fit the bulbs, though... that can be a bit of a headache

Thanks for the response but you didn't really address any of my questions/comments relative to a KIT type upgrade. Also, if I am putting an H7 bulb into an H7 socket what drilling needs to happen??? Is this documented somewhere?
Thanks,

You will need to dremel the socket in your stock headlight to make room for the new bulb. You can then use silicon to secure the bulb in place. It's a bit messy but can be done, however if you want 100% plug and play- I'd go with complete Projector46 headlight replacements.
