For the yellow fogs I went 3000k ddm hids and tinted the lens with a couple coats of Krylon Stained Glass Spray, google that plus 'DIY'. Same stuff I used for the high beams.

My thoughts on Auto Elite - they do good work, but they'll sell you into doing poor work if they think that's all you can afford. Also, their prices are insane. It's not a case of getting what you pay for, they charge far more than comparable quality shops in other areas (like 30% more).

he said he can roll em just fine with them in there you know. Im not taking mine out. I look at it this way, if i need it that thin, i'd be shaving them, not rolling.

Snik, hit me up one night when you're around Norfolk, or need me to meet you somewhere to get those spacers to you, they are in my back seat now, not on my car anymore

I always use auto elite. I found their prices to be comparable to whats out there, plus at this point i know they do a good job, like any body shop you got to make sure you tell them exactly what you want and make sure they do it, but I have been satisfied with the work they have done for me.

Picked up the 24lb injectors today. Anyone know of some diesel shops in the area that have an injector test and cleaning system (they tend to be cheaper than "race" shops).

That's what I heard, but he told me a while back that he couldn't too. Is your lip completely filled? Mine kind of looks like this, there's no room to compress it:

I'm gonna try putting a blow dryer to it the next free chance I get. I wanna finger someones fender afterwards if they don't mind

I think it was Michaels arts and crafts store. I've seen it online too, maybe ebay. I gave my can to a buddy of mine who has yet to return it

no, with mine its got a distinct lip, kinda like a "L" but you can fel the material is covering the inside sheet metal, but the "L" is def not filled in as you describe.

Blowdryer might not do it, you can pick up a cheap heat gun at harbor freight store (there is one on jefferson ave up here). Also you can try getting some dry ice in there to get it extra cold/brittle and start breaking it up with a hammer and pick. That works on removing sound deadening tar from interiors (in my old 240), but you may not have much room to work with in the fender well.

I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner, I'm gonna try to get in there with a dremel. I think I have a couple bits that should rip that crap out, I'll just have to refinish the metal.

My lip is almost an inch thick though which would net more than a couple mm's. I think on a low speed I should be fine if I run it straight down the middle of material. I'm gonna try not to hit the sides, I just need a way to start it. I'm almost tempted to put that $50 towards adj control arms and throw some camber back there which should solve my rubbing and match the front. hmm.

And for as hard as I was prying on that material yesterday, we definitely have some monster fenders.

no i meant, not rolling the fender, but the little extra you give up by not removing the gunk. i guess, i dunno. let us know how it goes.
I suspect since your car is newer the gunk is probably not as cured and is still clinging on there REAL good.

Oh I gotcha. Yeah, I don't wanna say it's soft but it's definitely not brittle yet which disappoints me because some people have got really lucky and it just falls out.
