UPS F'd up the other two so I filed a claim. They paid the claim (after a big hassle) but wanted the two damaged ones back. That left me with just the two good ones. They've been sitting in my garage for over a year in plastic bags. Just need to unload them. I figured if someone wanted to get the other two on tire rack or something, they could still save some coin getting the other two from me. They were about $200 ea. new but are cheaper now.

Asked the guy at NAPA if they carry ATE fluids since they have Lubra-Moly and some others occasionally, instead of answering my question I get a speech on how you can only use one kind of fluid in a bmw.
Hey dipshit, you're no older than 19 and are talking out of your ass, answer the customer's question and save your half-baked ideas for someone else.

few pics of mine from the meet in the Feb thread
Who here is interested in the Boardwalk Car show ? it is coming up in April... http://specialeventpro.com/wild-wheels.php Brad, you said you signed up and on the page/application for it lists all the different events? What all are you going to/showing you car at? Do we just pick whatever we want and show up? I assume whatever people from here we have showing we all want to be displayed in a group so we need to know who is interested and available for which events...

I'm gonna call the insurance company tomorrow about the guy at work (maybe) backing into my grills. so I should have some paint by then and be a pretty hot show car. edit: if you pay the 35 bucks, its entry to all of them from what I gathered, plus one guest entry. Figure i should at least get my moneys worth.

Snik, you said you're running 18x10 in the rear with 255/35's on right? I wanna take a look at them and see if thats possibly what I wanna do.... Im still trying to figure out my sizes I want to run |

the wheels on my car came directly off a E36 M3 sedan. Dont know if it was lowered tho, ask Coldaccord (Andre) I see evidence that there was minor rubbing on the inside, so 3-5mm spacers may be needed. We'll get up fro a photo ops after i mount the roof rack and switch the spacers to the back. |

anyone peninsula side have an air compressor I can use (preferably now)? I am in the middle of doing my front brakes and just saw that my pass side caliper is frozen. I need a compressor to pop out the piston, I've got spare rebuild kits to take care of it once it's done. Pretty bad considering I've got the car up in the air at a point where I can't close my garage now.

no luck here. try soap and water and washing away the brake gunk, or brake cleaner.

that's not going to get it out, I've been using a caliper press with no luck. The seals were actually partially out already, so I'm guessing water got in and caused some rust to form. I should really get some SS pistons, but just want to get this thing put together tonight if possible.

It's stuck about half-way out, can't compress in and can't pry out. Compressed air should pop it loose though, I'll have to hit it all with sand paper once its out.

yeah pulled that off, I had the caliper completely removed from the car. There are signs of rust in the old seal boot. I just put the caliper back on and bolted it all back up with no pads. just needed to get the wheel on and push the car forward a few inches so I could close my garage door for the night. I'll have to stay home tomorrow and deal with it. maybe I can drop the calipers and seals off at atlantic autowerks and see if they can rebuild them for me while i'm at work.
