Yeah, but a spring/shock combo simply doesn't go as low as coilovers.
I may throw on a set one day, if I find the right spring rates for the rears to carry my heavy system at a low setting with the limited wheel travel.
Problem is, it seems only the top $$$ brands seem to matcg that. May have to go with GC coilover springs.

I don't know, I see lots of guys with dove vaders, not rare at all. Kiel and I have them. Now modena and hurricane cloth vaders, those are rare.

My Ride: 2004 M3 Coupe
Just wanted to stop in say what's up to all the Hampton Roads guys. I wish I had time to do something with you guys before I jammed out of town Memorial Day weekend. I was only home long enough to pack out the house and get it ready for the renters. Drove the ///M clear across to Las Vegas and it had zero mechanical issues. Stopping at only Shell stations was a challenge and the AKI ratings dropped from 93 to 91 half way through. Only problem occured when I was in "poe-dunk" Kansas as we stopped only for a lunch break. Getting ready to get back on the road and I glanced at my rear tires and saw cord showing down the center. If I didn't stop for food and i continued to travel at 80+ mph, they would have blown on me. I immediately went to the tire center in Wal-Mart and they don't carry 19s (only for trucks). They called around and everyone said Tuesday at the earliest...this was only Thursday!!! Mind you, I had a friend driving my other car and I had plane tickets bought for him to leave Las Vegas on Sunday, so you can see how Tuesday would be a problem. I proceeded across the street to the Dodge dealership as they drive Challengers on 20s; surely they had 19" tires...nope. But they could get me some by noon next day. I had to take that offer considering my situation. My Michelin PS2s didn't even last 20K miles. They got me OEM Continentals but for $425/ea installed/balanced. I walked away with minor damage to the wheels that I of course didn't see until I washed my car upon arrival. Long story short, Hays, Kansas was my "thousand dollar pit stop" including hotel, food and getting sh!tty that night!

2,484 miles and I got my best mileage averaging 70-80mph giving me 26.6mpg

Here's my debrief on the states: VA = worst roads, TN = best roads/every radio station is country music (boo!), MO = worst drivers, KS = not enough exits/almost ran out gas/"thousand dollar pitstop", CO = rivaled TN for best roads but they had a toll (Denver has the best chics!)/best scenery, UT = worst radio stations (slept paranoid in car at a truck stop cuz all the hotels/motels were booked up), NV = hottest place on earth!

It was fun while it lasted and sucks that it was only a short period of time (2007-2009 N.News) (2009-2010 in Korea). I hope to find a good group of guys out here in hot a$$ Vegas. Already got my first speeding ticket (73 in a 55)...these cops don't give breaks cuz everyone is bankrupt.

Also, just encountered a windshield washer fluid light. Strange since Casey BMW topped off my fluids before the road trip. I filled it up and the next day the light comes on again. Meanwhile, my garage floor is all blue! Did some searching and it appears the washer pump could be bad and leaking out of the weep hole. Dealerships want $100+ but some say you can buy one at Auto Zone for under $15 or BavAuto (OEM) for $35. Also, there's a DIY that takes about 15 mins. What do you guys think? I prefer OEM and heard the Auto Zone one doesn't push as strong.

Hell yeah, I love me some craigslist. I'm thinking about buying another e36 to fix and flip it. If not I can sell for parts, which is fine with me.

I recently had the same problem. I ordered the parts, followed these instructions http://www.bmw330ci.net/maintenance/washer.php

Certainly not something you should pay a dealership to do, waste of time and money. Now, I did replace the pump and grommet, but I haven't replaced my washer fluid so I can't be certain if the fix worked yet or not Need to pick some up to test it.

whats your definition of good mileage for an e30? keep in mind even the absolute last of the line e30 verts will be 18-19 years old at this point.

i've seen some clean ones with 130-150k miles...maybe some as high as 170k. I don't want one thats pushing 200k or more. I would never buy anything for more than 1500-2000 bucks for something 20 years+ with high miles.

if the body is beautiful and the interior was kept up...do it. yank the motor out of your salvaged M5 and drop it in the E30. SLEEPER...sick sleeper. just sayin. thats what I would do if i could find a running salvaged car that was quick as hell
