Hahaha. It's Lost Highway. It's basically a surrealist movie. One of those movies where after you watch it you think, "hmmm...maybe it would have been enjoyable if I were on acid?" No joke, shapeshifting is involved.

I do like that scene though.

What I'll never understand is why they bothered using a 6.9 if they were just going to pretend it had a custom motor in it anyways.

How can you not laugh at the offer of porno though?

no. stock isnt an option, im trying to save the expense of buying exhaust and/or suspension.

Get one already done and its much cheaper and easier, especially if it has something nice like KWs, or Supersprint, Gruppe M, etc on it already...
I suppose, but I always like having stock cars to start with. Some if modded are ok, but a lot of times you get either a car that's been ragged and poorly modded, or a guy who thinks his mods add value to the car equal to (or more than) what he paid for the mods.

The damn apartment complex is too friggin cheap to fix the water pipe for the car washing area. Anybody know a place up near my way that will GENTLY handwash my car without requiring I take out a loan?

In my experience, the stock cars are driven by gas and go people who don't even have a clue how to change oil.
The modded cars, that is, those tastefully modded, are usually owned by someone that gives a damn.
BMWs aren't meant to be babied, most of all M cars.
Also, you can tell if the person was on a budget by the quality of the mods and its condition. Kw, bbs, hre, dinan, etc aren't cheap mods, so if you can't afford basic maintainance, they'll be sitting on prolly some painted stockers and racelands. Even used a good set of top end coilovers are over $1k. Besides inspection 2, subframe, and oil leaks, and basic bushing conditions, there isn't much to hide on these.

Hello all just wanted to show you a new project we are working on for a customer. It's a 2011 E92 M3, with the goal being street legal, but primarily a track car. This is how it sits with a set of Moton Club Sport DA's. More work to come.

Interesting, is that how he is going to drive around on the street too?

So what's up your sleeve for tomorrow's session?

This is the initial roll out on the car, it will have to come up a bit for track and street use. We still need to corner weight and align it.
As for the BMW Club meet we are doing an alignment demo as well as racking customers cars to let then look under them. We will also have some cool cars around like the E92 to check out.

Sounds good, I'll be there tomorrow.

Does anyone know what the status on the proposed track in New Kent County is? I'm looking forward to the NCCAR event if I can get the steering sorted on mine.

What I have heard is nothing on the Dragons Ridge project. They used to call me and give me updates. I have tried to e-mail and call my contacts, but they dont even reply. So I feel like it is "dead" as of now. NCCAR will have to do for now. What is the steering issue? Lety me know if I can be of any help.

I'll ask you about it tomorrow, I wanted you to give it a look. I had the car aligned at your shop a while back, everything there is still great. I have a bit of play in my steering column, about 1/8". Can move the wheel up/down and left/right. I pulled off the wheel and replaced the column support bearing, snap ring, etc. behind the steering wheel but that didn't remedy it. The whole column seems to move, so I don't know if it is one of the steering guibo's in the engine bay or something else under the dash (non-tilt wheel model).

Hey did you ever end up finding where to get that rotella synthetic you were looking for? I need to change my oil tomorrow and would like to give this a try.

I did find some at the Autozone off frederick Blvd in Portsmouth. They only had two gallons though instead of the three needed for the rebate. I passed, I'll just buy some when I need to do my next oil change. Rotella T6 5w-40. I'm going to be kind of forced into it since they don't carry German Castrol like the place up in Newport News.

I need to pick up an oil filter, about time to change mine. I always change filters halfway through my intervals.

Well i guess i'll give the autozone by me a try and see if they have it. If not i'll just get the usual M1. Do you go 5k+ miles between changes? Why do you change your filter midway through interval?
