Anyone have any recommendation for FCABs? May need to replace mine and I'd be looking for something a little better than stock. I don't need "racing" quality as I don't track my car or plan to track it, but just curious if anyone would recommend some good bushings.

if I am not mistaken, when mine were done last the shop used M3 bushings on mine, the holder needed changed on mine but with your prefacelift the holder might be the same. Still OEM and not really aggressive, but probably a minor upgrade over standard coupe stuff maybe

2 different size non M fcab... 66 AND 60mm IIRC... it would be best, as you most likely havent, to change the arms w/ ball joints at the same time..

I recommend Meyle HD FCABs... theyre still rubber, but just a bit firmer than M spec bushings.

^Hmmm.... I wonder what the difference is? I was looking up different things online and since my car is pre-2001 apparently I have 60mm bushings whereas post-2001 have 66mm bushings. Apparently a recall was done to switch all cars over to 66mm bushings. Not sure if mine had been swapped or not though. I was looking into powerflex as a possible option, which is where I learned about the difference in sizes.
(source: http://store.bimmerworld.com/powerfl...hing-p281.aspx)
Through bimmerworld the powerflex for non-Ms are $90 for just the bushings and $160 for the bushing already pressed into the housing. M3 set is $90 for just bushings and $165 pressed into the housing. I'm wondering if the housing is different, so then if I were to "upgrade" to M3 bushings would I use my existing housings?
EAS has the same powerflex for $80 for non-M and $85 for M3, although they don't offer the already pressed in option.
However, I can get a Meyle HD bushing kit (pressed already) for non-M for $82 from AutoHaus, but I heard Meyles are super super stiff.
Are the powerflex worth paying double the price of the Meyles?

whoever said Meyle HD is supersoft is a tool... i had them installed in 2010 and they were good to go when i sold it... theyre still rubber, and OE spec, so no, they wont be like poly bushing... but theyre def stiffer than stock...

You can get poly if you want, im unsure if i want the harsh ride they bring. ask 5 different people with poly what its like and get 5 different answers...

not soft, lol. I said super STIFF A few people in the suspension section complain of the car tram lining really bad after the install of the Meyle's. So just to clarify the poly will be stiffer than the Meyles?

Meyle would be fine. I had Poly's on my E36 and it was pretty rough... (that's what she said... lolz) I just did ball joints on the 4runner this weekend and after 167k on the clock the difference in steering was AMAZING. Seriously looking at suspension again now since its getting "tired" feeling, and I really dont need to be looking at Mcoupes yet.

There's a red E24 M6 parked near the National Guard reserve training center near where I work.
I drool every time I drive by it, it's in such good condition.
