I'll come up that way soon enough.
Wifey and I were thinking of coming up this weekend. But I'm not paying for no hotel and can't seem to find a place for both of us to crash for free. Lol.
Just me would be easy. I'll rough it on a couch. But the princess, not so much.

I have a twin air mattress that you can crash on (and a couch if you guys dont want to be that close)... plus I would acutally like to meet the lady fan since I owe her a drink for that BBS lip fiasco. I also need to see these fresh wheels, and maybe do some proper shots of it.

Re: hampton roads

What's going on all? Anyone have a suggestion for a good place on the peninsula for getting tires put on some 19" wheels,?

Took my rims with tires on to advanced custom coatings to get refinished and tony said he had a hard time finding someone to take them off.... and he didn't want to put them back on... guess he doesn't want to chance effin them up

Thanks, ken

Interior is workable. The hood and subframe are my biggest concern.

I didnt notice hood till you mentioned... probably fixable, but probably cost a few hundred to fix and paint...

Didnt notice anything mentioned about subframe you concerned cause of the models reputation or is the subframe cracked?

Reputation. This chassis was developed for a 140hp motor. They added 100 to that and the ole E30 based rear end just can't handle it.

Doing some research here, seems they're not as straightforward a fix as our chassis. Just a bad design off the bat makes it potentially horrible.

Considering how most M coupes get babies tho, he might be alright.

well considering the dent on the hood and the interior wear and tear I would say that one may not have been babied but as long as you know what you are looking for in the subframe damage you should be ok.

A tear in the seat and a small dent in the hood along with parking lot bruises doesn't or foes not tell the story of how the car was driven at all. If u think about it. All those except the seat could be from other drivers while it was parked.

So, u guys know how our rear fenders get peppered to death with road debris? M cars especially. Well I recently applied some dr.colorchip there and it worked out great. Then Robb picked up a clown shoe today and I keep looking at them, especially this one. http://www.canibeat.com/2013/06/bmwv...iving-machine/
So then I started looking for that black vinyl trim by the rear fenders so many of them come with... but then I thought, might look weird on mine with the softop and black interior and wheel lips. So.. Then it hit me. Vinyl! Order me a sq ft of red vinyl, closest color to mine. Cut it out and slap it on. Done. Fenders protected. I'm gonna do it. What do u guys think?

Why not clear vinyl? All yure doing is putting on a bra pretty much. Matching colors could be pretty difficult. See if a place that does front bumpers/hoods for clear bras could do the rear?

Not trying to do the hood and all. That. They sell kits for those. My bumper already has it. At this point the hood and fenders are all I need but I'm not sure how a clear setup would look with the existing chips. I've got a few big ones.

I guess I could get clear for the sides tho. Not sure if it will look good over the old chips. My rear fenders are hella peppered. That's why I just wanted to Kay color over it.
I'll do some more colorchip before I decide clear or red.
