My Ride: just an M3, sort of
thats a bolt that I like to melt out with a torch, many a ford truck that I've done susp. work on had that bolt break. grab the torches, melt the center out and clean up the threads with a tap.

although on the fords, there was a kit to put a nut on the other side and drill the threads out to make it so it wouldnt break again...

edit, glenn I'll be in the laskin/hilltop area today, just may not have my car at the time. give me a call when your ready for lunch.

Definitely better, or at least less failure prone, with a nut on the other side. I hate when parts like that which see harsh elements are threaded into the assembly.

I actually didn't bring my lunch today so I have to go out and grab something anyway, may be up for a bite somewhere if anyone is planning on heading out, town center area about as far as is feasible for me though.

I did gorge myself last night at Brickhouse Tavern, however, thanks for the recommendation whoever posted it up. Definitely a good spot.

soak it in PB plaster, get a touch, heat the hub piece around it a lil, to make it expand a tad, and then try the bold/extractor again. again.
