I hear ya. I have dropped $1600 on weaponry in the last couple months...now I have to pull in the reigns and unfortunately the mod bug is really starting to get me. Must be the H1N1 mod bug.

Dude, xd.40 is a good choice, I like the way it feels and the reviews are great. How's Eglin as far as the base and sh1t to do out in town?

I'm in no rush to get a gun, I've come close to buying one several times, but its simply not a priority of mine, especially with gay ass VA laws and tough times restricting cash flow and shooting range time.

I've fired a few glocks, don't like any of them, very crude machines, no finese nothing, and they feel cheap in my hand. But great guns though, they just don't do it for me.

Gravel roads, are uhm, I dunno, sometimes they make great shots. They're annoying to drive on.

As far as weapons budget, I think eventually I want 2 or 3 handguns, 2 everyday pieces, a sig or xd, and something nice, like a kimber or something and finally a .50 desert bird, just because I love those frikin cannons. Otherwise, I'd rather buy mad ammo and go to the range a lot. Too many people buy all these guns and have em like trophies. They aren't worth crap if you can't hit.
Accurate shooting is a perishable skill.

Nice. Have you fired a .50 DE? They are neat...once or twice. I fired 4 or 5 rounds and had enough. My palm was sore the next day. I have a feeling it would become one of your "trophies"

I would take a look at Wilson Combat for the 1911. Kimbers are nice, but the Wilsons are

Here are my "trophies" I'm waiting on my Sig 556 Classic Swat

Never fired the .50 I can imagine how brutal it is. It may def be a show/conversation piece.

Shotguns are nice, but I have no use for em. I mean, seriously, I'm not going to war, just want some "home security" lol

I doubt I'd ever really buy a kimber or that .50 tho, both are way too pricey, and I could throw some Ohlins at the bike for what they cost. Lol

My Ride: just an M3, sort of
50's are great until you wake up the next day and cant use your hand. watched a dude bust his nose with the hammer on one when he tried to shoot one ghetto style.

for handguns, the only things that fit my hands and shooting style right are the 1911's and the walther p99/22's. as of right now I only own the p22. need to get me a good 1911 custom. goin for the stoeger pump action I saw at dicks a few weeks back, benelli smooth action with a quarter of the price.

I've also built a few AKM-47's. My perfect round of choice is a .380 though, I loved my Walther PPK. Best concealer evar. I wish the P22 was a tad bigger because that thing is beaut.
