That and its ugly it looks like a stretched 911 on organic steroids (because its a hybrid).
image aside, Porsceh and BMW build what sells.
You may not know it, but Porsche wouldnt build it if BUYING customers werent asking for it.
Sales of Cayennes have almost passed that of 911's in the short time theyve been available. Theyve already cranked out 10000 panamericas, and i have no doubt they all will sell.

its just like the CSL M3, us guys at the forum scream all day, they should bring it here, they should build one for the E9x, but the fact is, how many of us have the 6 figures to drop, and if we did, would we buy a CSL or would we be looking at 911s? So dont forget, their primary business is selling cars, and if they can build what loyal buying customers want, and maintain their image, they will.
Trust me, its not hurting their image any more than the SUV does, and they cant sell enough of those, as expensive as they are, so its the right thing to do.

And ive been seeing sketches, and spy shots, and computer renderings of 4 door Porsches since the early 90s, its long been coming.

I thought the Cayenne was hideous when it was first released. After it being out for a few years and seeing a lot of them on the road (especially in Dubai), I still think it's ugly as ****.

I agree...I have never been too fond of Porsches either.

One car that has always caught my eye is the Audi TT.

I am not a big fan of the 911s looks, but it is a great car.

The Panamera is ugly as sin, and not selling well. Every magazine and car show from Top Gear on down thinks so too. They were stupid to try. Look at the 4 Door Aston Martin that just came out, and the 4 Door Lambo concept and you will see what a beautiful 4 door supercar should look like.

That said, apparently everything else about the Panamera rocks (interior, handling, power, etc.)

What is it that I do like?

Astons dont sell much anyway, so you cant really compare em. i think the panamerica will be a success, it just needs some time to gain momentum.

Its not going to because the people that mostly buy them are people that have alot of money and pretty much if you going to buy a Porsche then why waist your money on a 4 door. And to all that say Porsches are ugly, you guys must really need some glasses. They pretty much came out with one to fit everybody. SEXY!!!!!

because Porsche wouldnt build it if customers were'nt asking for it.
The cayenne started off slow too, only difference is, it wasnt launched in the middle of a financial crisis, where EVERYONE'S sales are down.

Well all i know that in the Great state of Virginia BMW rules the road. You can turn a corner without seeing at least one if not two or three.

The Cayenne still doesn't sell all that great. You don't see many of them around. Ugly as sin.

Porsche might have a lock on what the customers wanted (4 door) but they got the styling all wrong. I checked around and it says they want to build 20,000 a year. That would include all markets. I wish them luck.

dude, its theyre 2nd best selling model, almost matching 911 sales. this is fact.
EDIT: thats by percentage, btw, not figures, as not as many are made.

because E46s and E36s are cheap now, and common place, E39s too, E65s are being dumped left and right as warranties expire, and X5s have always been popular.

Thats true, lots of dumb f**k kids buy these cars and do not realize how much the E65/66 cost to maintain. They put all this ugly ass 20+ dubs and make the car ghetto and take away the resale value, com'mon who does this crap
