That's a good example of a range gun btw. The full length dust cover and bull barrel, as opposed to the more traditional 1911's half-length dust cover and bushing barrel like on the gun pictured below, means it weighs 41.2oz instead of the 36oz of a standard full size 1911.

It makes the .45acp feel like not too much more like the 9mm fired from an M9 though. Hence, the desirability for that weight at the range (well, it also has a 2-stage recoil spring that soaks up some of the recoil too).

My Ride: just an M3, sort of
Well I know its a few pages of "Gun Talk with Das Benzin" back, but to the unemployed guy, my wife does temporary employment for adecco, she could get you some temp work until the shipyards start to hire again.

and my next gun is gonna be a walther pk380 again. I only got to shoot that thing twice (200 rds) but I liked just about everything about it. Maybe a p99 compact though...

Did you see the new in box PPS for sale on VADriven? I want, but can't justify, and the price is right.

There are times I really miss it (like now) but I like to actually be able to drive on road trips and see different things....and how much cheaper everything is
Aiea is nice and my family lived in Melilani. I remember Tripler, the big Pink hospital on the mountain over looking the city of Honolulu. I do miss that place. I wish I were there away from this cold weather!! Hope to meet you sometimes during the meets, but unfortunetly I will not be at the meet on the 23rd, I work. Uggh!! If you go, have fun at the meet!

Yeah I had a blast. I'm in with that new Z4. Just wished it had the twin turbs. That TRD Rock Warrior was pure buttsecks too.

New Z4 = overweight. In what sense is a car a European roadster when it weighs almost as much as a Mustang?

I haven't looked up the weight yet but it felt so right. The only complaint I had: I'm too tall, the top of the windshield frame is at eye level

Looked up the weight, it's still less weight than the 335 and only a couple hundred more than the Z3. There was a gutted S2000 there, I mean GUTTED but I can't fit in them comfortably.

+1 but in their defense, the Z4 has grown out of the class, and price that it used to be, and is now somewhat of an alternate to the 3 cab.
What and if they'll replace what the Z4 originally was, is another question.
Theyre also not as pretty as their predecessors used to be

Not that I'm sexist...but the new one was designed by women. If you ask me, it shows.

The 335 is some sort of standard? My big ass Benz is only 100lbs more than a 335 and that's using 1970/80s technology. That many cars are bloated these days does not mean a 3500lb roadster isn't bloated.

Also, only a couple hundred more than the Z3? The Z3 was under 3000lbs. The z4 sdriveabcdefghijklmnop35i is 3450lbs.

I'm searching and I'm not finding many other roadsters that are less weight than the Z4. The 370 is about 3500, g37 3700, z4 3300

and thats the direction theyve been moving in with every update and successive model. Along with getting bigger, heavier and more expensive.

i like how wide it is, has that classic euro roadster silhouette, thats about it, the rest is doo doo
