My Ride: just an M3, sort of
the sealant that is in the fenders is there for just that reason. With the lip un-rolled (stock), the fenders in the e36's held water along the bottom of the inside of the lip. BMW thought, lets put sealant there so water cant get there and rust out... heres to adding more weight, when they just could have designed it better...

After you remove the sealant and roll the fenders, just throw some RTV or silicon sealant along the top of where the fender lip has been rolled in. Problem solved, and you can run wider tires or push your wheels out further.

I guess, he said somethin to me about he charges extra to remove it, so maybe not though...

also, does anyone have a link to that thread where the dude tints his lights yellow? I know its on here, and I have to pull apart my drivers side headlight anyways, might as well go yellow with that, and my fogs are getting yellow laminex. here comes a new look to go with the new engine in the black one....

I don't think yellow tint on your lights has the same result as actual selective yellow lights, does it?

i think i have it saved, i thought about it but the practical aspect of yellow light being less effective scared me, i actually use my high beams occasionally.
i'll see if i can find it.

If it's actually selective yellow, as a low beam, it'll be more effective.

brad, I think Nick has sprayed his fogs yellow with some paint. I have yellow laminx and yellow bulbs in my fogs. LaminX alone will not give you much more yellow of a light quality compared to standard. It will look yellow when off but functionally it is only slightly more yellow, thats why I got yellow bulbs in addition to laminx

if i get motivated to get out in the cold ill do it but probably not he messaged me back this:

It is not necessary to remove the stuff in the fender. However, I will not be able to get the fender lip completely flat and I charge more because it takes noticeably more effort to get the fender lip to move. Again, it will definitely still free up space, just not as much as it would if the sealant was not there.

Picking up a set of 24lb bosch injectors locally. Need to get a TRM chip, HFM, euro airbox. Some Schrick's would be nice too... hmm...
