Bigfoot!

Friends, allow me to display some ignorance:

Due to a massive torque and hp upgrade care of ESS's TS2 supercharger, I'm wanting to put as much meat to the rear wheels as my stock suspension will allow.

Now, if I change from the stock 135-style wheels 8.5" to a 18 x 9.5" wheel, am I correct that I don't necessarily get an extra inch of rear-tire? How do I maximize my contact patch?

I've seen from other threads the steps that one must do to properly switch to 19" wheels, and I'm not sure I need or want to do that... I think the 18's look just fine, and I don't want to lower the car. I think I just want a bit more stick for accelleration.

On the other hand, will that extra inch mess up my handling? Or do I address that by altering the front tire/wheel size?

I'm not even sure I know enough to ask the right questions. Please point me in the right direction.

Thanks!
