Rolling Wheel Arches?

I bought 20 inch Senekas for my M3... I am having the wheel archres rolled/rolling fenders so I can drop the car... The body shop has told me that they will need to repaint all 4 quarter panels after rolling the fenders... Is this true?

Someone please inform me on this because they are going to hit me with one hell of bill.

Rolling the fenders should not require repainting anything by any means unless there idiots and screw up th paint

Thanks for the input... Has anyone else had this problem?

I spoke to the body shop and they stated that I might only need to repaint 1 or 2 fenders becasue the wheel size and offset require major fender work.

My Wheels are:
20x8.5 (245) front and 20x10 (285) rear. I am rolling on Toyo T1R tires. I went with these tires becasue they have a rounded sidewall.

Help would be much appreciated guys.

Thanks again

^^exactly, I don't see the need to have to repaint fenders or anything at all, that seems a bit extreme

what the hell? it is just a simple job of using a heat gun and the fender rolling tool. No painting required, unless they are total jerk@$$es and chip or scratch everything off.

Maybe if you are widening the fenders, which require cutting, sanding, welding... but otherwise NO.

If the job is to be done "perfectly" they will probably heat the paint to the cracking point and then bend the metal, roll your fenders. Thats why they want you to pay for paint, so they dont have to be careful.
