p46 Halos not working with tail-light out error

For this story, it is VERY important that I explain I have a 2002 325ci.

I heard 2002 and up e46s may have issues with the LED tail-lights from bimmian.

This was coming FROM the supplier themselves. They said that 02 and up might give a tail-light out warning on the dash, even with their resisters, and they were right.

I have the p46 lights from jlevisw with the demon eyes.

I found a weird error. I noticed that my demon eyes were not on while the headlights were on. The halos would ONLY come up with the remote activation. Once I turned the car on, they would just shut off. This did not occur with my stock tail-lights.

I found this odd and decided to test my theory that the tail-light error is causing my halos NOT to trigger.

Turns out my theory was correct. I just unplugged my aftermarket LED tail-lights and plugged in my stock bulb assembly thingy. I turned the car on, turned on my headlights, and I got my halos back.

I had 2 questions for you lighting experts.

1) Could I tap into a different trigger wire from the LCM?

2) Maybe the resisters from bimmian are messing the halos up? Perhaps I should just take out the resisters (since I am getting the tail-light out error anyways) but I don't want that to blow out my LEDs. Does anybody think that taking out the resister pack would blow the LEDs or a fuse or something?

Also, I contacted Nick from jlevisw to let him know about this issue. Has anybody else seen anything like this before? Please inform me. I think this would only occur on 2002 and up e46s. Because I have read posts with people who have a 2001 e46 and do not get any errors at all with bimmian's LEDs.

Very peculiar... fix the LED tails with a resistor and I think that the demon eyes will start functioning properly.

Thats the thing, bimmian has PROVIDED me resisters. I have no new updates at this time. The only local BMW dealer that I have called has never heard of flashing the computer. What a joke! Looks like I'll have to drive even further to find one who will.
