Who has the ASA AR-1, What are your thoughts

I am interested in this wheel or the CSL replica wheel. The car is a red 2001 3 series. Do you have on a 3 series, images please, thoughts please. Help a brother decide on this wheel or a CSL wheel.

Your car looks great with those staggered ASA AR1 wheels. Nice wide lips on both the fronts and rears. I think those look much more aggresive than CSL replicas. Nice!

Do stock BMW center caps fit on the ASA AR1 rims?

What wheels is that on your car? I see in your profile a bbs rep wheel. Is that a VB-1 or a velocity wheel?

sry, but 18x9 with 10mm Spacers at the rear by an Limo?? that's not possible, because at my coupe the wheels are at the limit without work at the body! and i don't have Spacer, and anybody knows, the coupe is broader than the limo!

The rims are Beyern type mesh (manufactured by TSW) in the following sizes:
18 x 8.5 et40 front
18 x 9.5 et45 rear

The tires are BF Goodrich g-force T/A KDW in the folloing sizes:
225/40R18 front
255/35R18 rear

My car is unmodified and I have never encountered any rubbing. The tires are very noisy.

Does anyone know if stock BMW center caps fit in ASA AR1 wheels (or ASA JH8 wheels)?

-Matt

Just to let everyone know. I appreciate all of your input which lead me to order the ASA wheel with BFG tire today. I believe the delivery will be Tuesday. I will take images and post as soon as I can next week.

You´re right... that´s why I had my rear fenders pulled out an re-painted

any issues with the 225 tires on the 9" rear rims? visual or driveability? I like the look of the larger rear lip on the 9" rim, but will probably want to stay with 225 tires all around.

I have the ASA AR1 - on my other car, Mazda6. I considered them for my 325cic but thought it would look funny to have the same rims on 2 very different cars, and ultimately thought the CSL looked more "correct" on a BMW. Also like that the CSLs don't have faux rivets. But the AR1s sure dress up my Mazda... Great wheel at a good price, no regrets.

I've had my ASA AR1's for about a week and love them. 8x18 front, 9x18 rear with Kuhmo Acsta-ASX 225/40/18 front, 255/35/18 rear.
