Just thought I would show some work I am having done over at evosport!! They are building my new racecar for 2007.
I have commissioned them to build a 2.1 liter Turbo CM Car for BMW CCA Club Racing. Just thought I would give you a glimpse of the project. Bottomline - ALL the pieces are in house now and the assembly process begins. I am going to try to be diligent on progress with pictures to keep you all updated. Right now, the suspension is hung on the car and it just came back from paint. I have had the exhaust manifold built by Evosport (nope, no pictures allowed yet) and I have acquired the turbo (something new here, not the direction we thought. We are working directly with Turbonetics - details coming soon. So - whats left? Well, just putting everything together, tuning it and racing it - that's it. Pictures here: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for your interest! Last edited by jdholder; 03-24-2007 at 01:10 PM. |

Small Update -
Intercooler piping is being welded up and then end tanks welded on. All the AIM Sensors are mounted and connected to the dash. Fire System is all installed and plumbed. Quick Pic of the shifter plus the Jaffster Knob!! ![]() I'm going by the shop and I am sure there will be significant progress to report. We need intercooler pipes run, wastegate mounted and down pipe created for the Motor to be wrapped up. We need Wing Mounts finished and diffuser mounted at the rear. We need brackets for the front bumper cover and that should be about it for the fab shop. Then finish the wiring and begin the tune!! UPDATE - Hands are Dirty - And I have aluminum splinters in them from the day of work, but here's the visual update. In order to run the Intercooler piping, we had to do a couple of things: First - we needed an adapter to take my 2 inch outlet turbo to 2.5 inch intercooler piping: First step - Lathe: Fitment: Welding: Finished: That only took 2 hours!! Now we can run the pipes!! Intercooler placed and bumper being built: Tack in the Outlet Pipe - it takes a little longer than just writing that sentence. All Done - Yes - it takes a while but worth it!! Completed Picture!! More updates as I get them!! Oh - one I forgot to show you all!! What will my guys think of next! Shock Access Doors - to get to the Nitrogen Valve! ENJOY!! THANKS THANKS THANKS to the guys at evosport!! They are doing fabulous work and I appreciate them!! |

Another Day, another update!
This is what the car looked like at the start of the day: We concentrated today on getting the radiator, oil cooler and intercooler hung on brackets off of this superstructure we built (when I say "We" I mean they -- evosport!!): Milled som cool little Radiator Mounts - Bad Picture! Here's what it looked like at the end of the day - didn't have time to take too many pictures in the middle part! Tomorrow it goes back to the main evosport shop to finish the wiring! |
