2004 325ci Throttle body, 21k miles
I installed the dinan throttle body, so this is for sale if anyone is interested. I believe this one is larger than the 323ci, so maybe you could see a difference. PM me or whatever, just looking to get rid of it.
Only 21k miles on it.

Just playin... the throttle body is what is connected to the crank case and it is what regulates intake flow into the engine. The more you put your foot on the gas, the more % the throttle opens. This lets more air in through the intake. This not the best description, but I just got up at it is 1040 my time. Think of it as the direct mouth to the engine, it regulates air into the engine.. just like your mouth opening more and breathing harder when you are running.

My Ride: Has TWO Turbos!!!

the throttle body is part of the throttle control system, the part that regulates the air intake. it's attached to the intake manifold and it's a circular entry with a flap in it that is angled very close to flat at idle and as the accelerator is pressed it opens until at WOT, wide open throttle, the plate/flap on the inside is basically perpendicular to the openind diameter so the maximum amount of air can rush in. In older cars it's directly tied to the gas pedal via cables and as the gas pedal is pressed the cable pulls it open, this is how the early e46s operate (323/328) newer cars, including your 325ci and all the M54 engines have electronic throttle control, drive by wire, etc. The tb is controlled and opened electrinically by the computer as you push on the gas pedal. that's the best I can do right now, btw this tb won't give you any benefit- you already have it!!!
