painted headlight reflector bowls

[IMG][/IMG]

very simple diy.

this is the paint

remove all headlight covering, same as w/ angel eyes.

[IMG][/IMG]

remove the shroud and move ae's out the way

remove bulbs

for the drivers side, the airbox has 2 come out to remove the bulb

mask anything u dont want painted

IMPORTAINT!!!!!!! Wipe the bowls clean, paint will make any and all dust show up and look very nasty

only spray just enough to cover the area, ONLY DO ONE COAT!!!

remove masking and allow time 2 dry

[IMG][/IMG]

hopefully it looks better on your car than mine

i did a smoked chrome using the VHT tailight tint since it is hard to find a black or smoked color that is Translucent on chrome.

I did yellow at one time but got tired of it quickly. If you want to do it the Yellow is most easily purchased at a Michael's craft store

I'm really sorry for bringing this old thread up, but i'm sure someone else will want to look through this. Great DIY, I have always wondered how people did this. However I dont think it will look good on a stock car, im gonna have to get the m3 front that ive always wanted before i do this

I sold the car with the paint applied, after using it for almost a year without any problems. the new owner did not like the yellow lights so he removed the paint with fingernail as if it were a film.

Can somebody with experience please have a look at this product on eBay and confirm whether this can work>

Item No: 260783210384

I want to paint my reflector bowls black, but don't really trust myself with a spray can. LOL

Thanks.
