this is a good diy instruction but does anyone actually have what color wires come from the mirror pin by pin and...what plug do they go to white or black if the black were used for the mirror wires that come from the moter then what would the input be from the door harness to the white plug ? there is two plugs both are 12 pin but how do they work input door harness to one of the plugs to the output on the module to the mirror? Switch <---> White Module

Pin 2 <---> Pin 4
Pin 3 <---> Pin 11
Pin 4 <---> Pin 10
Pin 1 <---> Pin 5
switch---whiteplug

is this the way that 4 pins transfer from plug to plug? if thats true what colors are the ones comming from the mirror to the module?

OP, have you been able to find the contact bushing part number 61130006663 but without the stupid wire? I like crimping my own wire instead of having to soldier their weird gauge wire into the standard gauge wiring.

Thanks for this DIY

Hello,

I recently purchased a pair of oem 12 pin m3 mirrors w/ autofold for my sedan.

I was told the mirrors are autofold, so I assume they have the optional motors already built in?

my question is, what do I need in order to install the mirrors on my sedan with all the stock features, plus add the autofold option?

I understand I need to modify the base plate, that's not what I'm concerned about here

I still have to check but I think my car is 12 pin. I have memory seats (not heated), memory mirrors, heated mirrors, and passenger side revere tilt. I assume it's plug and play for all these standard features.

what do I need for my sedan to add the autofold feature? Is OP's post exactly what I need to do? thanks

Can someone confirm that this isn't a powerfold mirror?

Mirror by Tayne, on Flickr

I have a December 2002 330 Sport with memory seats and reverse tilt.
The mirrors were a bargain on ebay so I picked up the purple backed switch (it fits and adjusts mirrors) and was about to fit these mirrors today.
They have a 12 pin connector with only 9 wires (same as my current mirrors).

Further to this (assuming I do end up with a correct set of powerfold mirrors), can I swap the piece that mounts onto the outside of the car as I need shadowline trim?
Also, do I definitely have to take the door card off?
I was hoping there was a multiplug on the inside of the mirror...

does anybody have 12 pins mirror connector with wires colors and numbers?

I saw in this thread some unfinished information...

Pin 1 - Driver Mirror (white wire)
Pin 2 - Driver Mirror (yellow wire)
Pin 3 - Fuse Box, position 57 for 12V
Pin 4 - ? Green
Pin 5 - Ground Black
Pin 6 - ? Gray
Pin 7 - Passenger Mirror (white wire)
Pin 8 - Passenger Mirror (yellow wire)
Pin 9 - ?
Pin 10 - ?
Pin 11 - Speed Sensor (Pin 21 of ABS Unit)
Pin 12 - To Pin 6 on driver mirror switch

I have 10 wires, on other forum I have find:

#3 Red
#4 Green
#5 Black
#6 Gray

but I don't have all colors )

Thanks!

I'm about to do this to my car.
How many of the contacts do I really need?
I'm asking about these two:
61130006663
61130006664
