HID fear
Ok, a while ago i asked my dad i was installing an HID kit on my car, I was told by him that this can fry the car's lightning system since everything here is electronic and pases through a circuit board, also the light alert message will come on... Is this true?? Now i have this fear which stops me from purchasing my HID kit, Siemens h7 800k kit

it wont "fry" anything.. the hid kit comes with its own source of power (ballast and igniter) which have to get grounded to a positive (+) and negative (-) ground. You will recieve no sort of errors or light out warnings.. i have both an hid kit for my headlights and fogs w/ no warn messages, however i will tell you that the ballast becomes extremely hot when providing power to the hid bulb so its reccommended to place it somewhere where its stable and free of any components w/in your engine bay that could melt...

I did mine by myself. Never fried anything. It was almost plug and play if you get the OEM ones. I just needed to split the high beam with a diode to get the Bixenon of the xenon working. Search the forum. That's where I learned how to do it.

Now the big moment has come, what im not sure is what temp should i get (K) i have a titan-silber 99 323i, not sure what to get (6000k, 8000k, 10000k) i would be very pleased so see some pics with these temps. When i searched on google lets say 6000k (white) it displayed apps. with lets say 8-10k (blue) so basically im confused on what each temp should look like, so pics are a must.

get 6000k it is the best compromise between color and light output IMHO, you should make an appointment with a dealer or a shop to avoid the error message on the dash. they will charge you 1/2 hr of labor to program the computer, you can get it done before the HIDs are in with no issue whatsoever
