bargain w/ your dealer to give it for free!

I got mine for free after some bargaining with my dealer....

It's not such a Great alarm, but it does the job. It has a few cool features, but that's it. Price: you can get it at circlebmw.com or pacificbmw.com for about $300, and you can install it yourself in about an hour..

If you can, get it....

WELCOME!!!

dont the 2002 e46's now come with them standard? I paid for mine on a 2001 e46 and love it. It might be just plain silly but I love that traditional "bimmer" chirp!

I like it

It is a good alarm and it doesn't have that generic siren like aftermarket alarms. Plus it is loud as hell and the motion sensor works really well plus the light under the rearview flashes and that is cool. You dont' get that with aftermarket and you have to have an extra remote.

and

the bmw oem has a transonder system. That is know to be one of the best. You can turn it off but you must acces the hood to acces it. So that takes time. More time then thieves have.

I have it, beside is OEM. I don't like the alarm that much. For that price, can get a really good alarm.

I have one. No it doesn't come standard on the 3 series. I got mine for $225 from circlebmw. Installed myself following the DIY from www.bmw330ci.com and had the dealer activate it for $60. Not the greatest alarm but get the job done and most importantly, it's nicely integrated with the car.

So the OEM alarm works directly with the key? How is that I know there is only an arrow and trunk opener on the key. How do you use the key w/ the alarm? I mean do you push the arrow once for lock and twice for it too open? Sorry sounds like a lame question but I didn't know it worked with the key

I have it. brought from pacific bmw for $225.. I think... it was awhile ago. you can install it in about 45 min. it is not that difficult.

once you get it activate, just press arrow key to disalarm and press circle (middle bottom) to lock door and enable alarm.

simple.
