DDE and battery life
So how long can DDE's stay on for, approximately before draining the car battery?
any tips/tricks on making sure i dont drain it all completely? I remember jlevi doing this back awhile ago at a bfest, kinda just left them on forever. |

You can just pull apart the black relay and stick a piece of paper between the metal contacts to trigger the relay to stay on. We have run our DDEs all day at events and the car starts right up.

are you talking about if you leave the key in position 2 or if you leave the doors open with the key out
if you have the remote switch, you can either turn the interior lights off when the doors are open, or they will shut off after a few minutes anyways |

would it be too hard to say, connect an wall outlet source to the DDEs for power?
no what i want would be, car completely off, doors locked yet DDEs still on. I know the trick your speaking of JLevi, you showed me that many many years ago heh. If i leave the piece of paper in there for that long, wont the metal bend and stay that way? Last edited by tdevil; 05-17-2007 at 02:42 AM. |

if your harness has the built in "remote kit" brown cable, why not just put that on the + terminal (along with the red w/ inline fuse).
That or extend the cable that's supposed to go into the ECU (the red wire trigger) to loop back to the + Terminal.
