Projector or No projector...

So I just installed my 6000k p46's in my car and they look awesome!

Now I want my fog lights to match.

I have an M-tech bumper with the M3 fogs...

Prolumen HID conversion kit? Do I absolutely need the projector housings for my fogs?

Any suggestions??

Thanks.

You do not need projector housings for your fogs because they are aimed directly in front of you, meaning they won't cause much glare. However, if you want the ultimate HID fog light setup, you will want to do projectors.

Wow. Thanks for the speedy response. Any reason to go with ProLumen v. Picollo (sp?)???

Which is an easier install?

Piccolo is just a more affordable HID kit. If you want the highest quality components backed by a lifetime warranty, go with the ProLumen kit. If you are a bit on a budget then the Piccolo is the way to go. This is not to say the Piccolo is bad but it is the budget alternative between the two and is only backed by a 2 year warranty.

Both are just as easy to install, 100% plug and play with integrated ballasts/igniters and digital processing.

sorry to thread jack but are there any other options for projector fogs? i personally don't like the 'fisheye' because there isn't a lens in front of it. i really like how the normal m3 fogs look with the glass in front. are there any projectors with a flat piece of glass in front of the projectors and not just the projectors themselves?

Not that I have seen, your only real options available are the standard and projector style.

HID Projector Fogs DIY Guide

http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=440254

Hope this helps, basically retrofitting a projector fog into the original M3/Mtech fog housing. Best of both worlds, project fogs without worrying about a rock taking out your projector lenses and the HID bulbs behind them.
