LED sidemarkers not extinguishing

Has anyone else had this? I put them in forever ago and I noticed they were on for a while after I locked my doors. I assumed the went out at some point later. However, this morning I was going to my car to leave for work and I noticed they were still on - dimmed, but on. I suppose this is because they require such little power to operate, but I would expect there to be a discrete switch to turn them off completely...

I'm not worried about them draining the battery. They require such a small amount of current... it would take weeks for it to drain it.

Exactly, they will not drain your battery but on some cars this occurs because of the software coding.
