Question How many of you are modding your car without jobs?

HOW DO YOU DO IT??? due to school and other factors, it's hard for me to look for a job now, maybe summer, and it's sad to see my saving gets smaller and smaller..

so yeah.. just wondering...

Ive been laid off since January and I can just afford my car now, but I still squeeze in some dough for mods here and there. If I had a job I'd put a V-12 in my car

I have a job but find it difficult to shell out the $green for the mods (by this I do not mean making the decision to mod or not to mod). What's up with that???

Perhaps being in this situation is worse???

every car that i owned has to be modded, it has to be different. i just dont have stock blood in me, i cant let it be like it came no matter how perfect it was to begin with. So as soon as my car arrives end of this month, i'll have sumthing happening by the first or second week. thats just me i guess.

I kinda do

I have not had a job yet but this summer I am definitely going to get one. I have so far put about 900 into my car or so but that money came from selling parts off my car or selling my surfboard, snowboards, my subs and some other stuff. I basically have to sell something to get something but I just ran out of anything I can sell so this time a job will do it.

I havent had a [fair paying] job in over a year. Any sane person in my situation would have gotten rid of the car long ago. I'm up to my ass in debt, and right now there's a buck in my wallet, which is actually better than normal.

It's a bad, bad situation. But still, it's worth the stress and suffering.

As for mods, every mod I've done to my car except for the clears hasn't cost me a dime. But then again, I don't get free paint, hence the mods I've been sitting on since July are still in my damned garage....

I told myself when I bought the car (when I did have a good job) that the only mods I'd do would be with money made from side jobs and freelance projects. That will still hold true if/when I come out of this funk. I'll need to chip my way out of debt, and I'm not going to let a few horsepower get in the way of saving for my future/preparing for another emergency if it should happen...

Yeah I dont' have a job

I am driving myself in debt and I am not making any significant changes is the worst part. Just interior. Stuff that is affordable. I want to mod and I wish that I had started long ago when I had money but to anyone that has a 330 and talking about modding suck it because that is not right.

I have a job, however since 50% of my income are variable

and depends on consumer expenditures among other things. The only thing that I can do right now is to mod my car as I don't have cash to buy a new M3 with SMG. When you guys decide to spend money, then I will stop modding my car and I will go ahead and order or buy from the lot a M3 with SMG.

Ive had a job for about a year and a half now since i graduated college in summer 2000. ive had my bmw since dec 2000, and the only mod i currently have is the clear corners. i just purchased 19" wheels and tires, which are costing me a fortune! but ive been saving for a while now. living at home helps too since i have no rent, and home cooked meals by my mom. the only thing i spend money on is clothes and dinner out and of course the bars on the weekend. plus i got a big inheritence from my grandfather who passed away about 2 years ago. but i havent really spent any of that.
