Nick please read in.. LED Tail problem..

I recently purchased some eagle eye LED tails from eBay. They were sold as being able to work on all 1998-2001 coupes.

I've just fitted them and i'm gutted! I'm getting bulbs out errors on the dash and the tails are flickering.

My car is an October 2001 which i now assume is seen as a 2002 build car?

Well the problem is the person who sold them me is not being helpful. Just said he'll exchange them but i know that wont resolve the problem. My guess is i need some new resistors compatible with 2002+ cars. Is there anything you can do to help me? I'll purchase some from you if thats possible?

p.s i don't want to go down the route of adding more additional resistors (if possible). I've already got 3 per side. Is it possible to just replace the existing ones?

I'm actually betting it has to do with your Euro based LCM which is coded differently than the US spec cars. Eagle Eyes has euro specific LEDs that are needed for euro spec vehicles, you cannot run the standard US spec LED tails on a euro car.

I'm from across the pond in the UK and the seller is also from the UK. So I assume he was selling the Euro spec ones.

Do all LED lights come with the same rated resistors, regardless of when the car was manufactured? i.e pre/post 2001. As in, do (lets say) 2002 model cars use different resistor modules to a 1998 car?

Edit: I dont know if it helps, but can you tell if they're US or Euro spec from the following information i obtained from the box:

BM103-BORE4
BM E46 2D 99-03
R.L(INNER + OUTER)(BM061 + BM091)

It sounds like you purchased US spec tails. Ask the seller if they have Euro spec ones as there are specific versions with different resistors for you Euro spec guys.
