facelifted lights (all)

I'm having some trouble trying to find clear turn signals and sidemarkers for my 2004 facelifted 325ci coupe. I found the lights for the back (I don't even need the four piece but oh well.. I suppose I can just sell it) but everytime I try to find ones for the front and the side, it's always up to 2003 coupes and not the '04..

SO! dear fellow facelifted coupes.. where did you get yours?

i didn't, i made sure i bought the car like that. those headlights are very hard to come by. the sides, you have to buy it from the dealer. the headlights, you may be able to find it on ebay. but it's easier if you just go ahead and take out the amber part during your angel eyes install.

You cannot just purchase clear corners and sidemakers for your car. Your best option is to bake open your headlights and pry out the amber reflectors. The sidemarkers must be replaced with ones from the dealer as they are complete units with integrated LEDs.

so... there was a link on some scion form and it might be something interesting to you... scions have similar lights. their turn signal is inside the headlight housing. this guy popped his out and painted it to match the trim in his headlight housing. (you should paint yours black probably) and then he drilled a series of holes in a pattern in each reflector. he inserted LEDS in the back of the holes and wired them up to his turn signal lights. voila! you have led front turns that i guarantee no one else with a bimmer will have. it should be a pretty simple thing to do.

Here are some pics from that post. I had been trying to figure out how to do this for mine for a while... but my corner lenses (non-facelift) aren't as easy to modify... I would probably use white leds myself, and a lot more of them to make sure they're visable.

no the back, the lens is actually orange.

for the front, you don't really have to pry it out. after you bake your headlights for the angel. the amber piece can be popped out. if you ever seen merwins car (lakeshow), that's what your headlights will looks like.

for the sides, last time i went to buy it cause someone jacked me, it was 60 a pair. don't know if it went up from there or not.
