You need to enter security code to download software.

My Ride: 3.0 Z4 Roadster '03
Hi guys, im new here. I have a 03 Z4 3.0 with a Mark IV Nav (i think it has
V20 software). I want to upgrade to V29, but need to know a few things:
1: If I want to install the firmware as is, do i just make an .iso of the two mds and mdf files in V29.rar and just write it on a CD?
2: Do i need to make a normal Cd or a boot CD?
Also, my car is Middle East spec... will the update work just as well?
Thanks in advance

Latest version is 32 and can be obtained at the link below:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IP0KD0O0

Procedure is the same as initially written.

Question No Luck

I have the Mk IV system.
I followed all instructions and burned ISO files to Memorex 52x CD-R discs with Nero 6 and Magic ISO (the lowest possible speeds available were 4x). The title of the ISO images was NAV_SW and based on v32, as linked in the post immediately prior to this one. I received "Incorrect CD" errors with the CD-R media.

I then tried burning ISO images on DVR+R media with Nero 6 and Magic ISO. When inserted to the player, the system began repeatedly booting (displaying the original "BMW" image, at that. I changed this--weak), but never getting past the boot image. I felt lucky to get these disks ejected.

As I read on the X5 boards, some people used Alcohol 120% to create the disks. Tried that but it didn't burn as an ISO image, so I gave up.

Any suggestions? Sounds like different media could be one route.

Any guesses as to how much it costs at the dealer, in case I jack my system? Is it possible to have to replace the whole system, as opposed to simply requiring an legit CD upgrade (this would be real bad)?
