My Ride: 2001 325CI
i am also looking at installing AMK Headers and i dont plan on putting in cats...... There is no sure fire way to know if the SES light will come on, stay on, or not come on is there? well if someone knows a way let me know. I really want headers for my car. oh and im in new york no sniffer just OBD scan.

Just get the O2 sims solution referenced earlier on this thread. No cats = cel guaranteed.

this might be the secondary air pump or the valve that goes from the engine to the pump might be damaged or very dirty,
I had this same problem in my car

Id really like to get by with not using cats and have no SES light. hopefully someone will figure out the solution for this.

There is not a solution that is guranteed to work though. it works for some not all. i dont want to put headers in and have a problem not passing the obd scan.

I haven't seen anyone install O2 sims and say they haven't worked. Could be that I haven't read enough....
