I'm thinking if I uninstall the headers, then put the defoulers on w/ O2 sensors and then put the headers back in, it should fit, but I dunno yet.

I have until December to figure it out.
i doubt itd fit even doing that with the short and the long one, mine are already touching the transmission with just the long one.

I did it but now I am getting P1192 code which I never had before. I think I may have messed up an 02 sensor, anyone know how to check?

What ?

I read somewhere else that post-cat sensor has NO effect on fuel trim, it just measures cat efficiency. How then, could there be a post-cat fuel trim system ? I'd suspect from this that the post-cat sensor does have some effect ?

Can anyone confirm or clarify ?

those are too far downstream and might need a heated o2 application, had that problem with my firebird, p1192 is a post catalyst fuel trim system -bank 1

I still get cat inefficiency codes despite the cat Its a know problem since they are not in the headers and the computer doesnt see them as doing a good enough job.

Spark non-foulers did not work for me.

Hello guys,

I completed this mod a couple of days ago and I got a CEL with the following codes:

P2271 (O2 Bank 1 Sensor 2 Signal Stuck Rich)
P2096 (Post Catalyst Fuel Trim Bank 1 System too Lean)
P2098 (Post Catalyst fuel trim bank 2 system too lean)

I have ESS software and they did the Post Cat O2 sensor delete for me but the car was not able to pass emissions. I had them put the O2 sensors back on and I was able to pass emissions without cats however a few days later the car threw a CEL.
I guess this mod does not work for everyone... Do you guys think my O2 sensors have gone bad?

how were u able to pass emissions with the ESS software??? i thought software removes the CEL on the dash but it actually shows up when you read the codes???

ESS put the Post O2 sensors back into the system.
I was able to pass emissions even though I had two incomplete OBDII monitors.

Check Engine came on a couple of days later.

I took one of the nonfoulers out of each of the sensors and reset my codes, so far so good...

Well, I finally got my CELs to disappear and not come back!

My story is as follows:

Originally I put one non-fouler b/c I couldn't get the other one in. There was still a CEL. So recently, I found a crow's feet socket that fit over the other O2 sensor so I could get it out. Unfortunately, somehow, it got cross threaded and I could only back it out a few threads. And then it would not budge. So I figured, screw it. I put the car back down. Went to autozone and cleared the codes. It has been almost a week and a half and no codes!

I guess when I backed out that one O2 sensor it was enough to be similar to the "non-fouler mod" and I no longer throw a CEL. And my O2 sensor that I banged up pretty well seems to be worked just fine. I'm just happy I can pass emissions now.
