Doorpanels are almost completely ready to get painted. Painted a little bit black here and there

The lights that come in, also were painted in black.

When I got them to the painter, they were just going to paint MATT VARNISH. He tought it through, and then put them in the cabine. So it'll be matt varnish.
Not like other CF that is always with normal varnish.

If we don't like the mat varnish, we can go and do the shiny one

in the meanwhile the doors are sprayed with matt varnish.
For the most of you, we think, it'll be not so cool as normal varnish.
But according to Robit was going to be TOO much, if you know what he means.
The only thing he was afraid of, is that the weave of the carbon wont surface enought to see. but as you can see on the pics, that's not the case.

This is the leather, where he overlayed the upper part with. This is 100% the same material as the original panel. In the middle will come the original panel, covered in leather

When he did all this, he just needed to adjust the polyester piece above the speaker a bit...for a perfect fit.
This piece will get painted MATT silver like the original trims andso of the beemer.
This will be just right, according to him.

according to me, I like the normal shiny varnish more, but this will look more calssy for an interior i guess.

wow, that looks great... but youre right, maybe it would look even better if it was glossy...

can you tell me where to get that "leather" for the door panels? I really want some of this stuff...

The doors are covered with the Skai Leather. Really f**ng job to do.
There was a layer mouse of 3mm on, and that's really different to work with then normal skai.
But.... Difficult still goes

He thinks it was a good thing to spray the fiberglass ring above the speaker in silver, like the rest in the car.
The piece needs to be sprayed again, cause to me, it' isn't done perfect...

Here you can watch the lines, nicely flowing in each other.

nice pic

When he mounted it all, It came to notice, the MATT CARBON looked really great, and still nicely noticable. Shiny varnish would be TOO shiny for this interior..
Satisfied!

pic with the Focal grill

All 3 things on the pic. The panel, the radio and the balls

The doors are (maybe some little details) these panels are ready.
He worked it out, like it was in his head, so he's satisfied.

I vote you spray the AIRBAG bolt cover, as well as the steering wheel trim silver.

Either way this work is amazing.

Amazing work! (as usual)

I actually think it was a splendid idea to go with the "non glossy" CF for the door. It looks perfect the way it is now. So whats next?
