he made a grill, to cover the sub-box.
The frame he milled out of MDF wood.
Here you can see the top of the upper ring. This one, you will see, and will be covered in Carbon

On the picture, you can see he miled a little ditch, to lay the inox in.

Here you can see, the ring a not plain at the side. He also did that with the piece then comes in it. So everything keeps it place...

This ring comes underneath, so it looks nice when the grill is taken off.

HEre you can see the MDF is nicely in the MDF

And this is the upperside, you will see when looking from above

The inox, wil get chromed, to get a nice effect.
This model won't rest also, he think it looks a bit big. Maybe he'll make a new piece of alu and make a Focal logo in it.
So you can look throught the logo into the subs. This grill won't be on it many times, i guess

damn it must be hard to wrap a thin circle like that and have it come out nice. I've worked a little with carbon, and it's not hard overall, but getting the carbon to wrap and sit right on the object is by far the hardest part. keep the updates coming, I love it.

*Edit* creating those complex shapes is crazy hard

He messed around a bit on the install.
The Carbon ventilationholders are planted in now, just the way HE wanted.

Cause he doens't like to screw alot, he came up with an idea to make it tight, without using one single screw.
Just slide it 5mm to the back, and they're out.
Here's a picture from the front. You can see a V where everythings slides into.

Then he fiberglassed a little alu piece that is fastened bigtime.

Here he sprayed it all, so you can see it looks rather nice at the back

In the whole those things are layed into, he fiberglassed a firm alu bridge, and there the backside slides into.

These things have to come out really fast, cause his GPS and CD loader is behind it.

here's the bottomside. You can see it's al been screwed with another ring
so he can change when he wants to

put some alcantara in it, to prevent scratching.
