Is there a general performance/drivability increasement that makes the extra cash worth it?

I was thinking of this too last year, but I can't see it making a financial worthy difference...

i can't say since i never drove this car with new non iridiums, i can say though as soon as i put them in (at 45k) it was night and day with engine smoothness...
idle, cruising and hard acceleration all felt like butter...

Well, I suppose I will bite the bullet and go for the Iridiums! Haven't replaced the spark plugs in at least 40k, maybe close to 50k. Car is idling a little rough and the mpg are going down slowly.
