5 Type 44s

Anyone looking for a quality set of BMW Type 44s? Unlike most drivers I do not use the curbs to steer my car. The previous owner did cause slight damage to the spare but the four on the road look very nice.

It is raining outside so I cannot take any better quality photos at the moment, but I have decided to purchase a new set of wheels before the end of August and wnated to see if I could offset the expense of new wheels and tires somewhat.

Let me know. Accepting any offers that are reasonable. I do not need to sell but these wheels seem to draw some interest so I thought I would post a thread and see if anyone bites.

Thanks

Bump to the top. I will sell consider selling all 5 together if your vehicle is capable of housing a full size spare or just 4 of these wheels for rolling down the road.

I know you want to sell a set, but I would love to take your 2 best (zero rash if possible!) wheels from you, shipped to 92683. I don't even care what condition the tires are in, as I'll replace them. If you aren't successful selling the set, I can have a postal MO in the mail like yesterday PM me.

Well Sir,

I have a set of four (4) with zero rash but I am not interested in breaking up the set unless the money makes sense. How much are you willing to spend?

If you want them badly you could always purchase the set of four and sell off the extras that you do not need.

I have a tentative offer of $600 and will consider these sold for that amount unless someone else provides cash in a higher amount.

Once again these wheels are prisitine! Glossy finish, straight and NO CURB RASH unlike most of the other wheels for sale on this forum.

Just to be crystal clear, I have not accepted any funds. A forum member simply threw out that number based on the quality of other wheel sets selling for around $500.

I have not committed to sell these to anyone yet and as always money deposited in my PayPal account speaks volumes.

Make an offer if you are interested. I am in no hurry, besides I love these wheels, they are super easy to clean.

FYI - potential buyer is trying to sell a set of Type 68's if anyone is interested. He really wants my Type 44s but does not have room to store two sets of extra rims and tires.

If you just want to sell one of them, let me know, and I can offer $200 shipped IF the wheel is in excellent condition. Then, you still have a set of 4 to sell.

Unfortunately all 5 wheels are not wearing the same treads. 4 of them have the Conti-SportContacts and my spare is fitted with a Yokohama AVS 100 225/45-17.

The one with the Yoko is the only one I would consider selling solo obviously. Provide an email address and I will send you high rez images to illustrate the condition. The tread pretty deep on this tire is deep.

Guys-

I have received multiple pm's requesting that I break up this set of wheels. If we can get a group of people to commit and put up cash I will obviously comply.

Sounds like I have a person who is very interested in purchasing two of the four without tires.

Can I get a commitment from another buyer for the other pair or 2 buyers for a single wheel each?

I am determined to purchase my new rims before the end of August and would really like to sell the type 44s in advance.

I will ship the t-44s to you in my new wheel packaging without tires to save money and ensure they arrive unharmed.

Thanks

Kep, have your potential buyer with the M68's PM me. If I can take those off his hands then he can pick up your set! Thanks.

Might break up the set

BUMP

Thanks Riceboy - I pm'd the guy with Type 68s for sale. Let me know what happens via pm.

In the event this does not work out I still have (2) b-e-a-u-tiful type 44s for sale! Does anyone else need a pair? I am leaning towards breaking up my set and have a serious buyer wanting to take (2) off my hands for $400.

No, they are not gold. Just a set of rash free wheels that have been well cared for.

No worries on the low balling, I can always say no thanks. Make an offer for the other pair and see what happens. Money talks!

If I can find a buyer for 4 of the wheels either individually/together I want to sell them before I order my new set.

FYI - I have decided to keep the spare.

Don't forget about me and our emails, bud. My offer to take 2 of them still stands. Let me know... I'm in no hurry. After buying bushings/RSM's/brakes/Cup Kit, it'll be awhile before I can get a new set of Continentals for the Type 44's anyway

Type 44 Update

Guys-

Please speak up if you can use either one or two Type 44 rimss.

SVTNate has spoken for a pair of wheels without tires $400.

Does anyone else need one or a pair of Type 44 rims? As my Continentals most likely have less than 10K remaining it would be easiest to package these wheels in my new rim boxes and ship to you without rubber.

Let me know. If I cannot find a buyer for the other two I may sell the set of 4 to another member for $600.
