ITG Airfilters

Did some tests on ITG's drop-in filter for the 330 yesterday and got some nice results. The best base run before the filter installation was 198.4HP/196.0ft.lbs (car wasn't as strong as it was on Friday...added humidity could have played a role). After the install, peak HP climbed to 199.9 and torque to 197.8. This might not seem very siginificant, but peak power is not everything. The largest gains were realized in the lower rev-range, where we saw gains of 2.5HP (2.9 crank) @ 4250 and 3.2ft.lbs (3.7 crank) @ 3000. Another interesting thing to note was the car's ability to hold peak HP for an extra 250RPM @ redline. Using these results in a 1/4 mile simulator, yielded an extra 1/3 car length and 2.7 mph in the trap. Considering the ITG drop-in filter costs about $50 (about $15/HP), and when compared with Dinan's CAI ($499/11HP = $45/HP), this proves to be an excellent performance modification (also takes about 1 minute to install)...

Nice results, I was looking for this result too. Thanks!

Hey, how much you pay to run a dyno test like this? I hear it run about $150 to $200 for 3 times. Is it truth?

That's way too steep...$75 for a few runs (3-5) is normally what a shop should charge.

So you only changed air filters and no other mods to get those numbers right?
