valve adjustment

My next inspection is coming due soon. There is no way of telling if you need a valve adjustment, unless you check the valves...correct?

To know for sure yes you must check. You can also hear excessive valve tick, if your valves make a tick tick tick tick that is very noticeable or louder then it was when you bought the car, chances are one/many of your valves are out of adjustment.

Its a DIY if you want to spend a few hours and give it a shot. There is a nice writeup on m3forum, its not hard, just takes patience and time.
