i think i bruised a bone :(

when i was working out i thought my ipod was gonna fall so i went to grab it and slammed my bone (its sort of hard to describe where but its right next your funny bone area) .. sort of between my elbow and my funny bone.. and i slammed it pretty hard on the machine. it was a edge so it basically stabbed my bone sort of and it really hurt, but after half an hour or so it stopped hurting so i ignored it. then the next day when i went to work out on certain machines it would really hurt, but then once again after i stopped working out it stopped hurting after a while and this kept up for about 3 days, then today it started hurting when i was even doing free weight .. do you guys think i should take a break from weights? or does it sound severe enough to go see a doctor and get an x-ray?
