Are snow tires a necessity? CAn i get by on the performance tires??

Are snow tires a necessity-I have a 330ci with the sport package and drive in the winter moths. Can i get by on performance tires?

For safety reasons, Im gonna have to say get snow tires if you are going to be driving in snow with a RWD car. It wasnt fun w/ my old Mercedes C280 w/ All seasons... actually it was pretty scary. Thats why I got a AWD now.

you will definitely need snow tires for Michigan. I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and our winters are about the same as Detroit, Michigan. You won't even be able to get by on all - season tires in Michigan winters on a rear wheel drive, never mind performance tires. Michigan winters are nuts, please get them!

Please do yourself a favor and invest in some snows. Like the others said, they really work extremely well. You will be able to drive through anything. I have them and recommend them

Depends on where you lives. If it snow, then snow tires or good all season tires are a must.
