Auto level and bi-xenons

Hey Guys,

So I just put on a set of OEM bi-xenons onto my 2003 BMW m3 (they originally had halogens). The lights also came off a 2003 M3. I know the lights are both bi-xenons and autolevel, my question is does anyone know how to hook those features up on my car? I've looked at other posts and it seems like those posts deal with retrofitting cars that don't normally have those features. I would think there is just a cable that I could purchase it plug and play. Are there other e46 2002+ that have OEM bi-xenons who can look under their hood and let me know how their lights are hooked up?

Thanks in advance!

for the autolevel, it's very hard to have done. you need a lot of sensor's and wiring, and for the cost, it's not worth it.

for the bixenon function, search for it. you should end up with a diy for it from bimmerforums i think. and all of the wiring and supplies needed will be in that diy. it's a cheap diy so yea.

also, it's pretty hard for others to tell you how their lights are hooked up. all they can identify is the plugs. after that it disappears away into the multiple bmw harnesses.

I thought the leveling sensors are just in the headlights, because I have three slots for plugs on the headlight. One is for the headlight, one is for the bi-xenons, and I thought the other is for the auto level (or maybe not from what you're telling me?) My side mirrors have auto level so maybe I can hook it up to those sensors......?

Do you have 2 boxes that look like these on the bottom of the headlight houseing? Becasue I think you are right and I believe one of them is the brains.

in the headlights, it's just the motor for it. you also have sensors located on your suspension to detect ride height. and all the wiring from the rear to the front and such. without those how is the auto level supposed to work? just search, you'll find a lot of threads on how hard and expensive it is.

Alright, guess I'll just stick with my bixenons and just use the manual knobs to level. Thanks for your help.
