Old style Halogen Angel Eyes - Junk?

Ok, so I got screwed in an eBay auction. The auction was for a set of CCFL Angel Eyes / DDE's. When I opened the box, I found an old set of Halogen-Fiber Angel Eyes (the ones with the light boxes). I was kind of shocked because I'm new to BMWs and had never seen this setup. I found out what it actually was with a little research, but am still mad. The whole setup turns on and is working, but is certainly not "new" like the auction stated. I already opened a complaint with Paypal. I just wanted to know if I get stuck with this set of DDE's, are they worth anything to sell them? They look like a pain to install. I'd rather just try to get my money back and but a new set. Let me know what you all think. I can try to post pictures if that will help.

Those are extremely out dated, I know there are a few die hards out there that prefer a halogen powered system but the light boxes and heat turn most off.

i think you might be able to use those for jlevi's upgrade program that they have, but you'll have to ask them.

He will want all new wiring, the old wiring harness has been VASTLY improved since then.

i guess it's an option. he could however instead of using a wire harness, just tap it to the fogs and have it turn on that way.
