Props for the work. It's going to look hot when it's done. Facelift conversion FTW!

I cant thank you guys enough for all the positive comments and encouragement. I did some hard thinking before deciding to take the car to the "next level" and I often doubted it it was the right decision. But everyone that has seen the car has been really enthusiastic about the project. A german BMW magazine has contacted me already to feature the car. Modding really is a lot of fun... an the "mod bug" will always be with me... keep the comments coming... thanks alot...

Small Update...

The facelift kidneys and headlights finally arrived today. These were the last parts that are missing.

Currently the bodyshop is busy widening the front and rear bumpers, so that they line up with the widebody fenders. The bumpers should be finished tomorrow afternoon. After that, the paint is stripped completely. Thursday and Friday will be reserved for paint. The car should be completely finished Saturday or Monday.

Enough talking... here are the pics from today.

Updating...

I decided not to go with an M3 front bumper.
I love the M-Tech with CS splitters. It would have been a lot easier to just mount a stock M3 bumper but oh well

Of course the bumper needed to line up with the wider fenders, so the M-Tech was widened to fit perfectly.

here go the pictures... (ignore the text... I always update a german website aswell, and I didnt feel like uploading 2 sets of pics)

SO glad you are not going M bumper, and even more exited to see how the CS splitters and Mtech work out.

nice choice

yea... i think this is the best way to go, and it will make the car more unique.

I'm having the CS Splitters molded to finish off the look...

the work is incredible... i've always taken my car to them, but never for any custom work. I still decided to trust them with this project and I'm 100% sure that it was the right decision. They do very honest and precise work...

update...

i went in again today. nothing that's worth taking pictures of. They just did some sanding and fitted the inner wheel well plastic.

I sat down with my bodywork guy and we finally decided on my new color.....

*SILVERSTONE METALLIC II *

I fell in love with this color, and I think I'll be the only one on the planet with a Silverstone II E46. This color is normally reserved as an option on the new ///M cars. I cant wait.

I'll have another update with pics tomorrow. The car will be primered and all the facelift parts will be fitted.

Going to look great. How different is the color you selected than your current? Any shots for comparison?

considering the fact that the fenders are now wider than those on an m3 (the car used to be a normal coupe) this pretty much is a widebody.

I would never go as wide as a flossmann kit... i think it just throws the sleek lines of the car off too much.

The way the car sits right now is exactly how i wanted it... not too wide, but just right for my taste...
