328ci Performance?
Hey guys I'm new to the forum and just picked up a 2000 328ci. I've seen a lot of info on tuning the 330 and how with boost and proper tuning that car is capable of killing m3's but I haven't seen much on the 328. What's out there in terms of supercharger and turbocharger kits for the car? And does it have just as much potential as a 330? If not has anyone done any wild engine swaps on this car? I'm assuming a 330 engine would drop in without too much trouble.. or am I completely wrong?

if you are going to to engine upgrades then I'd suggest re-enforcing the rear subframe to avoid costly repairs in the future

Engine swaps will always be painful. If I were going to go to that much trouble, I'd just drop an M3 engine in.
ESS has a twinscrew kit which is pretty powerful and AA has some interesting C38 kits. You can get 300 rwhp from a SC kit and get into M3 territory. |

The 3.0 swap isnt that bad. You keep your 2.8 intake manifold and TB, as well as your transmission and exhaust. If your 2.8 is in need of a head job, I'd do the swap.
I have a 328 putting out what should be almost 300rwhp on a dynojet. The same mods I have on a 3.0 would be 320rwhp+ or so.
