BMW Coupes (convertibles too - obviously) have MUCH better resale value. A driven into the ground beater coupe will fetch more than a similar sedan. The front seat legroom is better in a coupe if you are tall like me. To get a decent BMW back seat you need to go all the way up to a 750iL. I also swear the interior quality is better in the coupe. The sedan loaner cars I get from dealers seem cheaper than my almost identical coupe. Not sure if they come from a different assembly line or something.

This is tuff, i really like the way Coupes look, but just LOVE the functionality of a sedan.

I generally think the E46 sedan is a little better proportioned than the E46 coupe, but the coupe wears some colors better (mainly black and white).

I think the E36 coupe absolutely kills the the E36 sedan.

Black and white coupes only look better then sedans when they are M3s.

For all the neutral colours like silver and stuff.....I'll give it to coupes.....4 Door BMWs need to be black.

Have any data to back that up or did you just pull that from the air?

Dont coupes cost more out the door new? If so, perhaps it isnt better resale value, but the exact same decline in value, but more expensive to begin with.

As far as comparing interior quality, you sure the loaner you are getting has leather?

Sedan is more practical if you have a small family...Or if you need the extra 2 doors for people in the back seat...Plus nothing beats a black sedan e46, just ask sneaky

I want to know who drives a sedan and thinks a coupe looks better, and who drives a coupe and thinks a sedan is better. Most people are biased into saying which style they like better with what style they are driving.

Coupes are longer, wider, lower, and have a more steeply raked windshield. Need I say more?

If I wanted practicality, I would've bought a 5-series.

LOL...by that logic since coupes are "better" you should drive a 6 series....

Four doors are interesting if they are all on the same side.
