Event Description::burnrubbe

BMW Fall Meet is the celebration of BMW ownership and being a enthusiast...whether through ownership or admiration. As more and more become BMW owners in the Washington DC Area, they have always wanted to meet other BMW owners, to show off their recently acquired car, classic or new. As most new Bimmeristas have driven their cars on limitless occasion to experience the thrills of its handling and sensation, there comes a point when they would like to meet others in the area to share the same driving passion. It is because of this that it was necessary to bring back, by popular demand, the Fall Magic of 2006 Wolftrap BMW Meet. This year's BMW Meet will relive the magic feel appreciating your BMW cars with your friends met at various forums and events.

This event is designed by new members that felt a need to have a annual DC Metro local Bimmerfest type event open to members, their guests and friends. The highlight of the event will be a colossal rally enjoying the Fall cool breeze and colors along Virginia's parks and its roadways towards Passport BMW dealership. The sponsoring dealership will provide entertainment, lunch, presentation of new products, raffles, club awards and community appreciation gifts. Early registration online secure will first 120 registrants their event participation.

So, come share the camaraderie of the BMW Car Club, maybe have the opportunity to meet other club event chairperson who can further explain the different program available to you as a NCC member. This is also a venue for various BMW chassis owners to find a reason to take out drive their garage queens for a quick Sunday drive. If you have been doing DIYs all year long, use this opportunity to show off our modded car, who else will mostly appreciate what you've done but your own fellow Bimmeristas. This will be your time, because there will be no strangers here, just BMW friends that you have not met yet.

Pls be advised that from todays instruction from Passport BMW, there will be assigned parking for those 120 pre-registered folks. These 120 are the ones they said they can viewed as valid participants, for food, drawings, parking a gifts/giveaways.

Passport cannot entertain anymore waitlist for the NCC site registration already had around 20 overflow registrants plus whoever else is compiling another list

Their position is, because of the facility restriction, they rather have the nos. they can support, entertain and safely house well, than having a large crowd of unhappy participants. Next years M3 release will definitely be a time for a bigger celebration, since their New facility will be ready by then.

Your core organizer, are diligently, planning and orchestrating things behind the scene, so we can have a smooth flow of cars and folks can have a memorable time.

It will be a great event no doubt! and thks for your patience and support.

Is there a published list of folks that make the list of 120? I registered through the NCC site but there seems to be no confirmation. (?)

I signed up around the same time as Stuart. If possible I would like to see the list of 120 as well (just to make sure I'm on the list or not).

Nevermind... I contacted the organizer who told me I'm #88 on the list.

ase2dais - My wife and baby girl were going to drive up with me in the morning in a separate car (they're only staying for maybe a half hour at most). Any idea where my wife can park her car? (it's not a BMW) Like I said, she's not staying too long and if there's no place for her to park then I don't want her to waste a trip all the way out there.

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Navin

^^ There is another HUGEEEEE parking lot directly across the street from where this is going on, i dont know why the event isnt using both parking lots, u could fit a ton of people in both. In any case, im assuming non-registered cars can just park in the other parking lot.

PS- do u have to be registered to come to this event or is it open to the public?

matt - you have to be registered to go to the 2nd portion of the event - that is why there is a limited number of cars

I'm guessing that the organizers did not pay for use of the lot across the street because it is not needed as part of their plans. Since Wolftrap is a "pay to use" venue - everything costs money.

As I understand it - folks won't be staying at Wolftrap very long anyway.
