Another one on the way to HPF For Stg 2 :)

Well after reviewing what I wanted to do with my 2004 M3 SMG Coupe and after talking with HPF a number of times (Thx again David) Myself and a friend both (He has an 2004 SMG Convert), got off the fence and signed up for the Stg 2 install.

My car was picked last week, and hopefully arrives safely early this week. My friend's convert will be picked up later this month, once his daily/winter driver car arrives.

It's gonna be a long month.

Also note that I'm going to be driving this thru the winter here in Minneapolis. Last winter I ran 265 / 19"s Blizzaks, on the OEM 19's they were fine for me, and had no issues.

So there will be some serious cold weather testing here in the next few months.

Congrats bro!
Gerard has mentioned you and your car going in for the kit.
Mine was picked up and on its way as well.
As far as winter driving, good luck! I would think once your wheels start spinning due to ice or snow, it would put you in boost mode and who knows what from there.

Raj I just got word your car will be due to arrive to me tomorrow afternoon. We will be doing a base run dyno for you to see what HP you have prior to the HPF750 kit. In the meantime I will keep you up to date as we go on this project.

Nice! It sounds like the HPF boys are gonna be busy! I'm glad to see some stg 2 kits being installed. Now I can get some feedback before I get my stg 2. Are any of you driving you car home from Portland?

Nope having it shipped back, but thinking perhaps to visit hpf if I find a free weekend. Stg 2 should be intresting, I've found I can order methanol online in 5gal size. http://www.hiperfuels.com/catalog.as...n&DeptID=81051 Anyone use these guys ?

Kyle what is the ratio for methanol to 93 pump. What I mean is what size is the tank of methanol to be installed with your kit, and how many gallons of pump 93 is consumed within that given tank of methanol or(vice versa) thanks

OOPs wrong thread

I don't think he is going to be able to give you a definite answer as i'm sure the meth would only be activated above a certain PSI, in which your driving style would completely affect how much you would consume.

thanks, Im trying to compare it to the consumption of nitrous goes by lb approx per 10 secs. just wondering how much you would consume. In theory daily driving you will be in boost as low as 3500rpm shifting correct(in methanol map), so does that mean you consume methanol everytime you pull from a light. Excuse me Im still learning

Just as a pure guestimate... the meth probably wouldn't be activated till about 4k RPM or so, so you can drive all day long and not use an ounce of it.

If it works like the AA kit then it would depend on your driving. My small AA tank of W/A would last about a month with average driving. It would activate on WOT and at about 3psi.

Yup, i'd assume it works similar to the AA kit, which is based of boost but i'm sure HPF's is progressively and with a much bigger nozzle.
