Yes, the E90 auto knob will fit an E46. Just asked Jason at Tischer about this because I wanted to know for sure before I ordered one. Hope this helps

thats only for the new ones though that have electronic trannies. the older cars dont have that. they well go into R when ur drivin 60 down the road.

What about the light indicators? Have you figured out the wiring? And you should get custom boot to cover the original light indicators.

Yeah that's the one Im leaning towards. As far as the lighting...Im not sure... I probably can send 12V to it without any logic signals enabling whatever gear position its in, but Ill have to put back the OEM lighting indicator, or leave the manual boot with it.... or maybe retrofit a non M SMG plate there... who knows. but Ill cut the shifter post down so it ends up nice and low and not sticking out like a sore thumb

Well see, I have to find out price on that sucker...

I have had this Hamann knob on for years now. It matches the interior nicely and has a sportier look. I use Manual mode 99% of the time and have never had a problem.


what you did with that rod coming from the bottom of the auto, is not on the manual?
