My Ride: Blown '05 Mustang GT
Newbie from SoCal

Hey folks. I figured I'd stop in here and introduce myself...

My name's Kris Horton and up until recently I've been a diehard domestic owner (Fords and Chevys) but I've been considering trying something new and different. Since my dad's always been a fan of Euro cars (having owned several Porsche's and BMW's in his younger days) I guess it was only a matter of time...

I'm 23 (24 this month) and I'm a product designer at Jada Toys here in SoCal and freelance as a car designer/customizer in my free time. I've designed numerous SEMA show vehicles (including an E92 335i coupe this year) and have built two of my own cars (pics below...) and taken them to shows in the area. So yeah....that's what I do. It's a lot of fun and I get to mess around with fast cars 24/7.

I'm on the hunt for a nice E46 M3 coupe right now. It'll probably be my next project, though I keep saying it's time for me to just find a nice car and leave it the hell alone. We'll see....

Anyway, here are my 2 SEMA cars:

My '05 Mustang GT. It's got an intercooled ProCharger, making 450rwhp, AP Racing 6-piston brakes, and a bunch of other goodies. I'll probably be selling this one to buy the M3...though I'll be sad to see it go.

And this is my '71 Chevelle. It's got a ProCharged 427 big block and a full touring suspension. It's putting down around 750hp. Enough to get out of its own way, though the motor is built for around 1100hp. It was the cover/centerfold in Popular Hot Rodding in Nov. '05 as well.

I also have an '03 SVT Lightning that I'm currently using as my daily driver.

I hope to be posting around here more often, but please forgive any dumb questions I might have in the near future....

Kris Horton
